Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
The process of upgrading an item, often called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.
Players can recycle six items at once to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases with their rarity and item level.
Upgrade components
An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the power of your weapons and armor. This can be done through various methods such as using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. A lot of items can be reforged in order to increase their stats.
Upgradeable items are available throughout the game, both in the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be created by players. Upgrade components are the most common way to upgrade equipment. These are the items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment has upgrade slots, and many require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components give specific bonuses while others provide an overall bonus.
There are a variety of upgrade components that are available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments can be placed on any equipment, and offer less than equipment-specific upgrades. Glyphs can only be found in gathering tools. To upgrade an item, click it in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. item upgrading will show an overview on the right side of the screen, showing the expected stats after the upgrade, as well as any required components or materials. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you are enchanting it to.
The majority of upgrade components that are inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without dismantling them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. However, if you have a non-useful rune or glyph that has not yet been added to your gear, you can move it to a different piece gear by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.
You can remove a glyph by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item will be destroyed in which it is installed but you will be able to salvage the upgraded item with the glyph and its shards, therefore, it shouldn't be considered a loss.
When you take away an item after putting a glyph on it, the shards from that glyph will disappear. You can also put an inscription on your equipment to increase its value. Deferred Damage, for example can store damage, and then be dealt out slowly to the wearer rather than all at once. This is beneficial for players who take lots of damage from their enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are used to alter the affixes that are placed on weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from many sources, such as mystery boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Each reroll gives the player an affix randomly chosen and generally better than the one they had before. Reroll tokens can be used to boost weapon stats for more damage or bonuses.
Rerolled items don't appear on the menu for item upgrades , but they are still able to be upgraded. These rerolled items are able to be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button, which changes the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to be selected to recycle. Recycling an item adds a small amount of points to its level gauge. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, therefore higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.
Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls will roll a % chance to determine a weapon's trait. If it scores higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be repeated up to three times.
Rerolling is an excellent option to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware of the fact that the total ilvl will be decreased by the number of that it took to reroll it to the final level. This lowering effect is most effective on Diadems and ring items that don't have alternatives to raise their ilvls.
Some players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It would be fairer to let people pay for it with cash or food items, which allows players to make adjustments to their builds without having to invest excessive amounts of time. Leveling
